There were three main sections in a Shakespearian Theatre. There was the Pit or floor. The pit was cheaper that the seats because you had to stand up. It cost about half a penny.

The gallery was for the middle class. It was more expensive than the pit because you got to sit down. A seat in the gallery cost about 1 or 2 pennies.

The upper class sat in the Lords box which had cushioned seats. It cost about 2 Shillings more than the gallery. These also had a better viewing point.
